Each of us have our own problems, have committed to our own ways of dealing with the world. Whether that is through Christ, or through hobbies, through whatever outlet, we each have our own systematic ways of dealing.
I found myself arguing (not debating, for the two are quite different) with a fellow "sister of Christ", and she held this philosophy of not recalling or recognizing the things we have done.
Now, I will be the first to tell you I have made mistakes, that I am certainly not the quintessence of perfection (duh), and that I have some fairly deep scars from my past.
I have gathered that the scars of our past help shape who we are in the present. They may not define us as humans, but they have certainly changed us in some way, shape, or form. The question is raised, "Should we keep the scars of our past, or should we cover them up?"
Should we recognize that our scars helped make us the person we are today, and thank God for bringing us through times of tribulation, Or-
Should we act as if they do not exist, living in ignorance of its effect to further your own philosophies on life?
Just some food for thought, I suppose. Something to contemplate.
